We’ve prepared this Privacy Statement to make specific reassurances that your information is kept confidential. This document will run through the different kinds of information collected and stored by WeType and explain what we will use it for. WeType has a strong moral and ethical stance on the issue of privacy. Our philosophy is that you can trust WeType with your work and we will never divulge any information concerning it or you to any other party.
Your personal details
To register for an account with WeType, you are required to supply your company name, your name, address and email address. This information will be used for compiling the reports that make up the WeType service and for invoicing purposes, as well as being added to the WeType customer database. From time to time, we may send you a newsletter updating you on the service or advising of important customer service announcements. You can request not to receive these newsletters by writing to head office. We may also ask you to participate in an email questionnaire in order to allow WeType to improve our service levels.
WeType will not pass your personal details on to any third party.
Other information we do not collect
We DO NOT use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site or track user’s movements.
Who can access my information?
When you set up your account, a password is created for your account. As long as you keep your password secret and secure, your files will be protected. You can choose or amend your password manually by calling Technical Support but make it hard to guess! We thoroughly recommend that you chose a meaningless combination of numbers and letters eg: di3i892q. You will be surprised how easily you remember it after typing it in half a dozen times or you can get your browser to store it for you.
Employees of WeType do have access to the database and therefore to your information. This is vital for the provision of the service to you and is limited to those people who specifically require access to the data and are fully aware of any and all privacy issues.

We will not share information about you or your work with any other party.

Security
The client page is protected by security software. An SSL certificate is issued and shown on the login page. Rigorous authentication methods and a global infrastructure to support real-time certificate look-ups ensure that you are safe when logging in to WeType.
Cookies
The WeType program does require the installation of a Javascript program on a local PC. The secure webpage does not require any installation software.
